To the Membership:

The official version of the S & P document for the Certified Clockmaker has been approved, and is being released to the membership. It is our goal that this document will stand as the principle of what AWCI stands for, what ethical practitioners strive for, and what is necessary for the products to survive in a quality form for the generations to come.  As the clock industry itself is changing, so must the bench practitioner.  It is the quality of his/her skills that we are trying to define and evaluate so that the certificates represent a "baseline of performance" that is recognizable to other professionals and hopefully eventually to the general public.

Sincerely,

Jerry Faier, CMC21

Chairman, Education Committee
