When watch servicing is complete, the condition of the screws in the watch should be as good as when the watch was received and, ideally, as good as when it left the factory. If the watchmaker damages the slot or head of a screw, it must be refinished or replaced. Using the wrong size screwdriver or using poorly prepared screwdrivers are the most common causes of screw damage.
